As an Associate in Trade and Working Capital Operations within the Trade & Working Capital team, you manage and oversee the processing of trade finance transactions for global clients. You ensure all activities comply with internal policies and international standards, while maintaining operational excellence and team effectiveness. You play a pivotal role in team management, regulatory compliance, and driving process improvements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process and release import LC issuance, export LC advising, confirmation, and document checking for global clients
  • Ensure all transactions are completed with utmost quality and within agreed service level agreements, following JPM policies and ICC rules such as CP600, ISBP, and URR
  • Monitor transaction queues, assign work to team members, and manage pending follow-ups to maintain workflow efficiency
  • Identify and escalate red flags, OFAC regulatory issues, AML concerns, and boycott language breaches for review
  • Conduct daily huddles and meetings to communicate process updates and share feedback
  • Coordinate with global operations partners to manage work allocation, daily volume priorities, and leave planning
  • Drive team goals set by Trade & Working Capital Management and foster an inclusive environment for all employees

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities

  • 5+ years of experience in team management within trade finance operations
  • Well versed in URC, UCP, URR, and ISBP guidelines
  • Subject matter expertise in LC issuance, advising, confirmation, and document checking processes
  • Strong understanding of US regulations and OFAC compliance

Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities

  • Experience in queue monitoring, work allocation, and prioritization
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Project management experience
  • CDCS and CITF certifications
