Full Job Description

Location: Senningerberg, Luxembourg, Luxembourg

Utilize your expertise to manage and resolve complex credit situations, helping us support clients and safeguard our lending practice. 

As a Special Credits Risk Vice President, you will play a significant role in managing risk and supporting the Private Bank lending practice.  You will use a combination of personal and wholesale credit risk skills to manage problem credits across various markets. 

Job responsibilities

  • Manage and Advise on stressed and distressed credits in the role of primary credit officer.
  • Navigate complex problem credit restructurings, bankruptcies, and enforcement proceedings.
  • Work directly with clients to restructure problem credit exposures.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external legal counsel to maximize recovery on distressed assets and mitigate potential liability.
  • Utilize advanced credit skills to assess risk situations, develop exit strategies and author Credit Surveillance reports.
  • Develop and submit specific loan loss reserve recommendations for large nonperforming credit exposures.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the firms risk management and control policies and guidelines to ensure compliance and support effective decision-making.
  • Oversee and facilitate ad hoc risk-related projects and workflows.
  • On an as needed basis, interact directly with the regulatory authorities by leading Regulatory Workshops and respond to relevant regulatory questions and project requests.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Relevant experience a similar credit risk role with a track record of exceeding performance expectations.
  • Highly organized, motivated and hard working with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Significant accounting and finance knowledge.
  • Expertise in loan structuring and problem credit workout, complex finance structures, negotiating, credit analysis and portfolio management, with experience synthesizing information, developing recommendations, making decisions and problem-solving.
  • Understanding of creditor rights and enforcement strategies. 
  • Experience working with lawyers on enforcement and bankruptcy litigation.
  • Knowledge of lien perfection and priority.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Masters degree preferred.
