We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level. 

As a Software Engineer III - Transact SME at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset and Wealth Management Technology team, you will bring hands-on development experience and domain expertise across the Transact platform. You will work on AA configuration and architecture covering corporate loan modules, contribute to L3 Java development, and support key lending capabilities including Facility modules, Guarantees (Contingent Liability), and MD.Deal. You will also be responsible for developing and supporting Transact APIs, resolving complex issues including corporate lending and related modules, deployments using DSF, and advising on upgrade/update processes to keep the platform stable and compliant with delivery standards.

Job responsibilities

  • Serve as SME for Arrangement Architecture (AA) with strong hands-on technical experience in AA configurations, including Facility modules and Corporate lending modules and excellent functional understanding.
  • Design, build, and support solutions with L3 Java hands-on development capability (complex changes, debugging, performance fixes).
  • Provide functional/technical expertise in Guarantees / Contingent Liability and MD.Deal modules.
  • Drive and support Transact API integrations: design approach, implementation guidance, troubleshooting, and operational readiness.
  • Understand, design, develop or troubleshoot issues related to services / COB
  • Handle DSF-related analysis and issue resolution; coordinate with dependent teams/vendors as needed.
  • Provide development-level review and guidance (design reviews, code/config reviews, testing strategy, production readiness).
  • Contribute to migrations, knowledge in upgrade and update of the platform at a high level
  • Collaborate closely with product, QA, operations, and peer engineering teams to deliver outcomes and remove blockers.
  • Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities

    • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience

    • Relevant experience with strong technical background as a Transact SME in corporate lending and related domains with good functional understanding.
    • Deep experience in AA / Arrangement Architecture and AA configurations (including Facility modules).
    • Hands-on L3 Java development experience (ability to independently deliver and troubleshoot complex changes).
    • Excellent understanding on service and batch processes, with great knowledge in COB process, ability to troubleshoot and develop any services
    • Experience with Guarantees / Contingent Liability and MD.Deal modules.
    • Strong experience with Transact APIs and integration patterns.
    • Proven experience handling DSF in delivery/support contexts.
    • High-level understanding of upgrade and update processes (impact analysis, planning, coordination, validation).
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Knowledge/Experience in TDH/Workbench & deploying transact as containerized platform
