As a Software Engineer Test Automation Associate at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology HR Workforce Technology Testing Center of Excellence Team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.  Your expertise in Selenium, Cucumber, Java, and BDD/TDD will be vital in ensuring the superior quality of our software and promptly resolving any issues.

 

Job responsibilities

 

  • Executes test automation software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Creates secure and high-quality test automation code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
  • Produces test automation architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring quality software code development
  • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops test data solutions in support of test automation and global quality coverage from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in code quality and data via test automation solutions to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
  • Contributes to software engineering test automation communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
  • Collaborate closely with technology teams for BDD implementation.
  • Conduct automation feasibility studies and derive ROI.
  • Apply practical experience in test automation with JAVA, Selenium, BDD Cucumber, API testing, and database knowledge, with familiarity in one or more automation tools.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Proficient in coding in one or more languages
  • Must have expertise in Selenium, Cucumber, Java
  • Must have expertise in BDD / TDD – Behavior Driven Development/ Test Driven Development
  • Sound knowledge on Version Control (Bitbucket, GIT)
  • Automation framework development using core Java
  • Hands on experience in maintaining Keyword, Data and Hybrid frameworks
  • Test data management using SQLs
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
As a member of our Quality Assurance team, you'll draw on your testing knowledge and creativity to automate test capabilities
