As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Consumer and Community Banking, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes (EKS) and ECS.
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and system
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration management.
- Implement logging and tracing using ELK Stack, Splunk, Dynatrace, and AWS CloudWatch.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner.
- Continuously evaluate and implement modern technologies and tools to improve operational efficiency.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a related field.
- Experience in Java language, Springboot framework or scripting languages such as Bash, Shell, Python
- Strong expertise in AWS services including EC2, S3, EKS, ECS Fargate, VPC, IAM, and networking and Atlas 2.0
- Proven track record of building and managing continual automation / deployment / delivery environments
- Proficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Ensure disaster recovery strategies are in place using multi-region deployments, backups, and failover mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and ECS for container orchestration
- Proven track record designing and implementing comprehensive observability solutions (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting) and automating complex CI/CD workflows using Jenkins, Spinnaker, or similar platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills. Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with any rule engines such as IBM ODM
- Worked with IBM ODM deployment and Containerization
- Familiarity with AI and Copilot concepts
