Full Job Description

Be part of a team at the frontier of risk management transformation. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategy and delivery of an AI-native, agentic platform that reimagines risk oversight moving to a continuously reasoning, intelligent capability. Our culture in Risk Management and Compliance is all about thinking outside the box, challenging the status quo and striving to be best-in-class.

As a Product Risk - AI Risk Transformation - Vice President in the Asset and Wealth Management Risk Product Management team, you will own the day-to-day product execution for a defined product/platform area within the Asset and Wealth Management Risk portfolio. You will translate the Managing Directors strategic vision and integrated roadmap into an actionable backlog, drive disciplined iteration planning, and ensure delivery teams build the right features with the right controls, documentation, and measurable outcomes. You will operate as the accountable point of coordination across stakeholders, technology teams, and dependent platforms to deliver predictable releases that improve the end-to-end user experience while meeting the firms risk management standards and regulatory expectations.

The AWM Risk Product Management team supports Risk Management processes across all AWM business lines, functions, and risk stripes, including Credit Risk, Fiduciary Risk, Counterparty Risk, Investment Risk, Reputation Risk, and Market Risk. The team also supports Consumer and Community Bankings J.P. Morgan Wealth Management (CCB JPMWM). The function is building and implementing a Product Operating Model and executing a multi-year product transformation agenda across a portfolio of risk products and platforms, with emphasis on simplification, modernization, improved governance and controls, transparency, user experience, AI-enabled PDLC, and regulatory compliance. The Product Owner will partner closely with Quantitative Analytics & Data Management, Technology, Data & Analytics, AWM and Wholesale Credit Risk, and senior business stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously refine the product backlog for your product/platform area, prioritizing work to deliver the highest-value outcomes aligned to strategic themes (modernization, simplification, governance and controls uplift, transparency).
  • Translate strategic intent and stakeholder needs into delivery-ready artifacts, including well-formed epics and user stories with clear acceptance criteria, testable requirements, and an explicit definition of done that includes operational readiness and controls expectations.
  • Lead sprint/iteration planning and support Agile ceremonies in partnership with Technology, proactively managing scope, sequencing, and trade-offs to improve delivery predictability.
  • Coordinate cross-team dependencies and manage delivery risk, identifying issues early and driving timely decisions and escalations to protect milestones and regulatory/governance commitments.
  • Support release planning and execution, ensuring communication, training, and production readiness are complete and auditable.
  • Define and manage product performance metrics and delivery health indicators, including adoption and user experience signals, and use data to improve prioritization, transparency, and outcomes.
  • Coordinate and/or lead UAT planning and execution with business users, covering test case readiness, defect triage, and sign-off management, and ensuring issues are resolved to quality standards before release.
  • Participate in product and risk governance routines, ensuring appropriate approvals, documentation, and control alignment for changes.
  • Embed AI-enabled delivery practices into the product development lifecycle where appropriate (responsible tooling use to improve requirements quality, testing efficiency, and documentation), while adhering to firm policies and regulatory expectations.
  • Own the end-user experience within scope, driving journey mapping, usability feedback loops, and continuous improvement in partnership with design and technology.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in product ownership, product management, or business analysis roles within financial services, with demonstrated delivery outcomes in complex, cross-functional environments
  • Working knowledge of risk management processes and operating models, with the ability to translate risk and control requirements into implementable product features and measurable outcomes
  • Strong Agile execution experience, including backlog management, sprint planning, story writing, acceptance criteria definition, and coordination of UAT and releases
  • Effective in senior stakeholder management, with the ability to drive alignment across competing priorities and communicate clearly across business, risk, data, and technology audiences

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience supporting Asset & Wealth Management and/or specific risk stripes such as Credit Risk, Investment Risk, Market Risk, Counterparty Risk, Fiduciary Risk, or Reputation Risk
  • Familiarity with data-intensive platforms, analytics workflows, and partnerships with Quantitative Analytics & Data Management and Data & Analytics teams
  • Experience using AI/ML-enabled tools and practices to improve delivery execution and PDLC artifacts
  • Comfort working in highly regulated environments with formal governance, auditability, and control requirements
  • Proficiency with JIRA (or similar tooling) and product documentation practices
  • Certifications such as CSPO and/or SAFe
Drive the product strategy for a cutting-edge agentic risk management platform and help redefine how risk is managed in real time.
