Join the Automation & Process Excellence (APEX) team within the Commercial & Investment Banks (CIB) Securities Operations to deliver cutting-edge automation and workflow solutions that reshape how work gets done. You will partner with leaders and teams across the organization to reengineer manual processes, unlock capacity, and improve transparency through data and analytics.

As a Process Automation and Reengineering Associate in APEX within CIB Securities Operations, you will execute high-impact strategic and tactical initiatives focused on automating and redesigning manual operational processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities, deliver measurable improvements, and strengthen reporting for an active automation portfolio. This role offers you a unique blend of operational exposure and hands-on technical development while contributing to a culture of inclusion and continuous improvement.

Job responsibilities

  • Collaborate across multiple lines of business to build, deliver, and sustain an automation book of work.
  • Assess existing processes through structured reviews and partner with subject matter experts to identify reengineering and automation opportunities.
  • Design and implement automation solutions to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and enhance scalability of operational workflows.
  • Develop management reporting to support prioritization, capacity planning, and progress tracking across automation initiatives.
  • Create dashboard analytics to monitor process improvement KPIs and communicate impact to stakeholders.
  • Build proficiency in automation and analytics tools and prototype agile, fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, align on outcomes, and drive adoption of delivered solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal team processes, standards, and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively through written updates and presentations to senior leadership and broader stakeholder groups.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Relevant professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of Python or another modern programming language used for automation and data analysis.
  • Experience building automated solutions (e.g., scripts, workflows, or tooling) with the ability to learn and adopt enterprise automation platforms (e.g., UiPath, Alteryx, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to translate process gaps into practical solutions.
  • Proven ability to learn new tools and concepts quickly and explain them to internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaborative team settings.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize across competing demands.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously across different stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
