Join us as a Market Director in New York City and lead a team of Relationship Managers dedicated to delivering best-in-class banking, lending, and investment solutions for affluent clients. As a Market Director in Private Client for New York City, you will lead and develop a team of Relationship Managers who nurture high-net-worth client relationships and deliver centralized, high-touch service. You will drive strategic growth, foster a client-centric culture, and ensure dynamic performance at both the Relationship Manager and market levels. Your role requires strategic thinking, a passion for exceptional client service, and expertise in sales and practice management.

Job responsibilities

  • Recruit, lead, mentor, and manage a team of Relationship Managers, fostering their professional growth through training and development.
  • Develop and execute market strategies to expand the affluent client segment and drive business growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and centers of influence to enhance market reach.
  • Collaborate with leaders across lines of business to identify opportunities and deliver seamless client experiences.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team and among stakeholders.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, providing regular feedback and coaching to help team members achieve goals.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex client issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Represent JPMorganChase at industry events and networking opportunities to strengthen the firm's presence.
  • Create and promote a culture of risk management and controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 10+ years of experience in banking, wealth management, or financial services, with a focus on serving affluent clients.
  • 5+ years of experience recruiting, developing, and coaching professionals who serve affluent clients across banking, investment, and lending needs.
  • Proven ability to cultivate a client-centric culture focused on personalized service and long-term relationships.
  • Strong track record in business development, working with strategic clients and centers of influence to drive growth.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with strategic thinking abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining internal partnerships to enhance service delivery and client care.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time as needed.

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • College degree or military equivalent.

 

Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act

This position is subject to the Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. As such, an employment offer for this position is contingent on JPMC's review of your criminal conviction history, credit report, information available through NMLS, and any other information relevant to a determination by JPMC that you demonstrate financial responsibility, good character, and general fitness for the position. Note that any felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify you from consideration for this position. Your continued employment in this position would be contingent upon compliance with Truth in Lending Act/Dodd Frank Loan Originator requirements.

In addition, this position requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. As such, upon active employment with JPMorgan Chase, you will be required to either register on NMLS, or to update your existing registration as necessary to grant access to and reflect your employment with JPMorgan Chase.
