As a Legal Entity controller in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform legal entity accounting and control on a monthly basis, including month-end close processes, parent/child accounting, equity pick up, review of inter-entity breaks, and monitoring of unnatural general ledger balances.
- Conduct month-end analytical reviews of legal entities to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements, prepare various reports, and deliver legal entity and line of business financial commentary in line with regulatory reporting requirements.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve issues, and respond promptly to ad-hoc queries.
- Assist in booking model reviews and support ongoing compliance monitoring with Legal Entity Control Standards.
- Control intercompany activity, including providing variance commentary.
- Monitor the general ledger, including consolidation and netting activities.
- Participate in firmwide legal entity reporting projects, infrastructure and process improvement efforts, and other Controller initiatives as required.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5 years’ experience in an analytical and financial role and should have worked experience in controllership
- Understanding of financial statement structures and US GAAP / IFRS or any local GAAP
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of Tableau and Alteryx will be an added advantage
- Should be flexible to work in EMEA shifts
- Bachelor’s degree required, CA/MBA (Finance) an advantage
