As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Chase Travel, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of travel technology solutions using .NET, Angular, React, AWS, and Docker.
  • Architect and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable full stack applications, integrating backend services with modern, responsive front-end interfaces.
  • Drive cloud adoption and migration strategies, leveraging AWS services and cloud-native patterns.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions tailored for the travel industry.
  • Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and champion best practices in software engineering.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the application stack.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, especially those relevant to travel and hospitality.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality software within project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in software development, with a strong focus on the Microsoft .NET ecosystem.
  • Proven experience as a technical lead or senior engineer in large-scale, full stack application development projects.
  • Expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API and Entity Framework.
  • Strong experience in front-end/UI development using Angular and React.
  • Demonstrated experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application design.
  • Proficiency with Docker and containerization for application deployment and orchestration.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture patterns, microservices, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience integrating backend services with modern, responsive front-end frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
