As an Insurance Services Manager II within JPMorganChase, you will oversee compliance reviews for the commercial and multifamily loan portfolio, including GSE and/or JPMorgan loans. This role requires a highly detail-oriented and deadline-focused professional who can manage multiple tasks and projects independently, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and work effectively within their own group. The position involves significant interaction with both internal and external clients. 

Key responsibilities include reviewing and tracking GSE origination and servicing activities, monitoring insurance waiver requests, and supporting the resolution of non-compliance issues related to GSE requirements. 

Job responsibilities 

  • Evaluate loan documentation, property appraisals, engineering assessments, seismic studies, and Phase I Environmental Reports to establish insurance requirements specific to each loan. 
  • Serve as the primary resource for inquiries regarding insurance, coverage standards, and investor guidelines.  
  • Perform thorough due diligence on loan files to confirm accurate loan setup and ongoing servicing. 
  • Process insurance waiver and exception requests, including documentation for cases of non-compliance
  • Recognize and assess risks affecting the company and investors, and promptly communicate any issues related to coverage gaps, deficiencies, or lapses to relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct annual reviews of insurance certificates, statements of value, and invoices to verify adherence to investor standards.
  • Audit insurance policies to ensure they meet investor compliance criteria.
  • Obtain and track evidence of insurance and proof of payment for loans within the assigned portfolio.
  • Effectively manage assigned responsibilities and workload to meet established deadlines.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changes and prioritize tasks to efficiently manage daily workflow.
  • Exhibit accountability for work quality, embrace new challenges, seek opportunities for professional growth, and maintain patience while mastering new procedures.

This position is responsible for assessing assets and collateral to confirm adequate insurance coverage. The role ensures adherence to federal regulations, investor requirements (including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac), as well as compliance with JPMorgan Chase’s Global Flood and Non-Flood Insurance Policy 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor’s degree, in the business or finance areas; or insurance related industry designations with direct experience and demonstrated ability to perform the required tasks.
  • Clear knowledge of Commercial Insurance Coverage – Property (including Flood, Wind, Earthquake and Terrorism), General Liability (including Workers Comp and Auto), Professional Liability and Umbrella/Excess Liability Insurance.  
  • Requires problem solving skills as well as the initiative to troubleshoot and find resolutions. 
  • Requires excellent communication skills, written and oral, through all levels of the organization.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to identify, interpret and apply applicable guidelines in managing assigned processes. 
  • Must possess strong organization and communication skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Must demonstrate the ability to successfully schedule own workload to most efficiently meet multiple deadlines and manage assigned portfolio, prioritizing according to risk and urgency. 
  • Ability to work well as part of a team while also capable of self-motivation and strong individual performance. 
  • Providing premier customer service to investors, borrowers, agents and co-workers. 
  • Demonstrate continued growth and development towards a senior role in the department.

  • Familiarity with Agency and Lenders programs a plus

  • Strong ability to build and influence relationships, with excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Capable of identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices 
  • Three or more years of insurance experience in multifamily loan administration preferred
