Location: New York, NY, United States

We are seeking a professional to join our Portfolio Construction and Quantitative Analysis group at JPMAAM. The candidates’ primary focus will be supporting other senior team members in our portfolio construction and quantitative analysis efforts.  The role offers the opportunity to develop a good understanding of hedge fund strategies, financial instruments and portfolio construction.  The role demands the ability to balance quantitative skills with qualitative reasoning.  The candidate is expected to contribute to a wide variety of projects in coordination with other teams within JPMAAM including Research, Risk Management and Client Solutions.  

 

Potential candidates should possess each of the following:

•              A degree in Finance, Mathematics, or another quantitative field. A Master’s degree in a related area (including econometrics) is a plus.

•              Knowledge of and passion for global financial markets, with a focus on investment and risk analysis.

•              Good knowledge of statistical concepts.

•              Hands-on experience and understanding of portfolio construction.

•              Strong verbal and written communication skills.

•              Solid analytical skills and experience processing large sets of information and data.

•              Strong Excel skills are a must (including VBA/macros). Python, SQL, and Tableau are also required.

•              Ability to execute within a fast-paced and demanding environment while managing multiple concurrent projects.

•              CFA designation achieved or in progress is a plus.
