Central Business Services (CBS) provides risk and controls oversight and other administrative services for multiple teams within JPMorgan Chase Marketing, particularly for Performance Marketing, Operations and Transformation. By extension, we serve marketing stakeholders and functional partners across the Firm, including those supporting the Chase, J.P. Morgan and corporate brands. Guided by our stakeholders business objectives, we execute strategies to maintain a sound risk and controls environment for marketing activities.

As the Head of Central Business Services (CBS) on the Performance Marketing team, you will lead a high-performing team within the central JPMorgan Chase Marketing organization under the firms global CMO (the Center). You will report directly to the Head of Common Controls & Strategic Governance (CCSG), which acts as the Centers chief administrative office and supports the Chase, J.P. Morgan and corporate brands. In this role, you will set and execute the strategy for CBS and manage day-to-day operations across risk & controls, business resiliency, legal/regulatory creative review oversight, and other centralized administrative services, while driving automation and efficiency initiatives across CCSG. You should bring strong leadership and a process-oriented mindset to design, oversee and maintain a sound risk & controls environment across the Center and, in particular, the performance marketing, operations and transformation teams. You will have the ability to build and sustain strong relationships and to partner closely with senior stakeholders in control management, compliance, legal, operational risk, and audit to influence outcomes and ensure effective governance.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and develop the CBS team to deliver high-quality risk and control management, business resiliency, and data-driven administrative services for the marketing ecosystem.
  • Drive enhanced audit readiness across the Center in partnership with key control partners, ensuring proactive risk identification and sustained exam preparedness.
  • Partner with marketing functions (e.g., performance marketing, data & analytics, product), transformation teams, and line-of-defense stakeholders to enable streamlined implementation of change while maintaining a strong, well-managed risk and control environment.
  • Champion automation and efficiency initiatives across the CCSG organization, including identification, prioritization, and implementation of GenAI/LLM and other automation solutions that simplify processes, reduce manual effort and improve control effectiveness.
  • Perform issue/incident management and cross-functional coordination of strategic programs.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

 

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing operations, program management and/or Risk & Controls
  • 5+ years of people management experience with proven success leading teams to achieve measurable business results demonstrated by refined OKRs and KPIs
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly develop effective, trust-based relationships and partnerships, and influence outcomes in a highly-matrixed organization
  • Self-motivated, tenacious and able to work with a high degree of independence 
  • Ability to think and act strategically and communicate complex concepts clearly to senior executives, while managing and prioritizing multiple projects with competing objectives
  • Bachelors degree

  • Experience leading first-line control or operational risk functions in a highly regulated environment
  • MBA or advanced degree 
  • 15+ years work experience
  • Experience in the financial services industry
