Help shape strategies that make card value clearer and more rewarding for small business customers while supporting responsible growth. You will drive cross-portfolio priorities and capabilities that improve engagement and portfolio performance.

Job summary

As a Executive director small business cards in the Small business card team, you lead cross-portfolio spend, lending, and rewards strategy and translate insights into a clear roadmap with measurable outcomes. You operate at the intersection of product, analytics, risk, finance, and delivery to align priorities, make tradeoffs, and improve portfolio economics. You communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and lead through influence in a highly matrixed organization.

Job responsibilities

  • Set cross-portfolio spend and lending strategy, including initiative prioritization, sequencing, and expected impact.
  • Own and drive the cross-portfolio capabilities roadmap (for example, engagement levers, rewards and redemption capabilities, features, user experience strategy, and servicing experiences), partnering with product and delivery teams from concept through launch.
  • Apply strong understanding of profit and loss and unit economics to shape strategies for spend engagement, lending growth, messaging, and features.

  • Partner with risk and lending stakeholders on spend capacity and lending strategies, balancing growth objectives with performance and risk appetite.
  • Build a test-and-learn agenda with analytics, risk, and finance; structure tests, synthesize results, and convert learnings into roadmap updates and scalable playbooks.
  • Create and deliver materials for executive business reviews, clearly articulating strategy, progress against key performance indicators, risks and opportunities, and investment recommendations.
  • Lead through influence by aligning stakeholders across functions, driving decision-making, and ensuring accountability to deliver outcomes against a multi-quarter roadmap.
  • Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Ten or more years of experience in analytics, finance, strategy, product, or portfolio management.
  • Strong understanding of customer insights, profit and loss dynamics, and credit card risk metrics (for example, loss rates, approvals, utilization, line management, and profitability drivers).
  • Demonstrated ability to take a strategic idea from business case to roadmap to delivery to measurement, managing dependencies and tradeoffs.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, with proven success influencing outcomes in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level storytelling and clear synthesis of complex analysis.
  • Highly proactive and results-driven, with strong prioritization across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in credit card portfolio management, marketing, and or lending.
