As an Analyst or Associate within the Central Bank Sales team in EMEA Sales and Marketing, based in Paris, you will deliver end-to-end coverage for central banks and public institutions. You will connect client needs to our rates solutions, partnering closely with trading and research. You will provide timely market updates, execute orders with precision, and ensure a seamless post-trade experience. You will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced trading floor where your ideas are heard and your growth matters.

Job responsibilities

  • Support rates sales for institutional clients, with a focus on central banks and public sector entities.
  • Respond to day-to-day client requests and needs with speed, accuracy, and care.
  • Execute the full sales cycle: engage clients, share research, close deals, and book trades.
  • Analyze market drivers to advise clients and execute trades confidently.
  • Adhere to firm risk policies, legal, and regulatory requirements in all activities.
  • Build trust by understanding client objectives and clearly articulating desk ideas.
  • Balance priorities across clients, internal partners, and the firm to achieve outcomes.
  • Ensure post-trade accuracy and controls; resolve issues promptly.
  • Prepare presentation materials and participate in deal pitches alongside partners.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in institutional sales within an investment bank.
  • Knowledge of rates products, including bonds, swaps, and options.
  • Fluency in English; professional communication skills in client settings.
  • Proficiency with market and product concepts, including pricing and models.
  • Understanding of risk types and practical approaches to managing them.
  • Strong grasp of relevant market drivers and ability to explain movements.
  • Knowledge of the transaction lifecycle and execution processes.
  • Ability to stay focused under competitive pressures and prioritize client needs.
  • Clear, concise communication skills—verbal and written—with tailored messaging.
  • Ability to interact comfortably with clients and senior management.
  • Self-directed, motivated, and able to work independently within a team.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Additional European language fluency.
  • Prior coverage experience with central banks or public sector institutions.
  • Familiarity with pricing tools and analytics used in rates markets.
  • Experience collaborating directly with trading and research on client strategies.
  • Track record preparing client presentations and contributing to pitches.
  • Knowledge of local regulatory practices relevant to rates markets.
