Be part of a high exposure, high impact and fast paced team that engages across multiple teams including HR, Finance, Business Management, Communications within the CIB COO. You will be expected to operate horizontally across the CIB, bringing insights across all lines-of-business, elevating the content and bringing context to our senior leaders. This is a highly visible role and it offers a unique ability to work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders leading the operational, technology, digital and data transformation of the bank. A learning mindset is essential.
As the Data and AI Business Manager in the Business Management team within CIB Chief Operating Office you will be a key strategic partner. The job responsibilities, preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills for the role are outlined.
- Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to senior business leaders, helping translate business priorities into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
- Drive execution of strategic priorities across functions by coordinating with Finance, HR, Strategy, Communications, Technology, Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and other support teams.
- Lead business reviews, governance, and management reporting to support decision-making, track performance, and maintain alignment with organizational priorities.
- Develop, contextualize, and deliver executive-ready communications, presentations, and messaging for senior leadership forums, town halls, offsites, board materials, and key organizational events.
- Conduct data-driven analysis to identify insights, evaluate business performance, and support fact-based decisions on strategic, financial, operational, and organizational issues.
- Manage and optimize business operations, including budgeting, expense management, headcount planning, vendor oversight, and resource allocation.
- Identify, escalate, and help mitigate business risks, including operational, regulatory, compliance, legal, resiliency, and capacity-related issues.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve workflows, simplify processes, and implement operating model, technology, and infrastructure enhancements.
- Represent the business in internal and external forums, working groups, and cross-line-of-business initiatives to advance priorities and strengthen alignment.
- Monitor industry, market, data, AI, and technology trends and share relevant insights to inform strategy, innovation, and competitive positioning.
- Solid experience in business management, strategy, finance, COO, consulting, or related leadership roles in complex, cross-functional environments.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant professional certifications considered a plus.
- Prior experience supporting senior executives or business heads in high-visibility, fast-paced organizations with strategic thinking ability to connect enterprise priorities, business objectives, and execution plans.
- Background in strategy, management consulting, transformation, or business operations within financial services, technology, data, or digital organizations.
- Experience building executive presentations, strategic communications, dashboards, or management reports for senior leadership audiences.
- Knowledge of financial services, operating models, data and analytics, AI, digital transformation, and related industry trends.
- Experience with budgeting, expense management, headcount planning, key results tracking, or performance management frameworks.
- Experience working across global teams and multiple stakeholder groups in matrixed organizations.
- Self-direction, resilience, and accountability in a high-pressure, high-visibility environment.
- Strong analytical capability, including the ability to synthesize complex information, identify root causes, and translate findings into clear recommendations.
- Sound business judgment and commercial acumen, with a focus on outcomes, value for money, and disciplined decision-making.
