Full Job Description

Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina

The analyst will join the CIB Credit Trading & Financing organization, supporting the Credit Trading and Fixed Income Financing teams across New York, London. This is a fast-paced, dynamic role involving the analysis and valuation of a diverse portfolio of private credit assets pledged as collateral to support corporate client borrowings. The analyst will work closely with senior analysts to assess risks on new transactions, perform in-depth credit analysis across a wide variety of industries, and develop valuation and mark recommendations.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze middle market credit investments in collaboration with Credit Trading and Fixed Income Financing teams
  • Perform credit analysis of portfolio loan investments, identifying business risks and mitigants
  • Develop draft mark recommendations for new loans by analyzing the underlying business, credit structure, loan spread, and all other relevant information
  • Conduct financial analysis, modeling, and credit underwriting & documentation
  • Monitor the portfolio through ongoing review of sector trends and quarterly financial

 

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, Accounting, or a related quantitative field
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with GAAP accounting, financial reporting analysis, and financial modeling/Excel
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Entrepreneurial work ethic self-starter, intellectually curious, and eager to learn
  • Superior time management and multi-tasking skills to juggle live transactions and daily tasks while maintaining focus on client needs
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 01 years of experience in a credit role (Credit Risk, Credit Portfolio Management) or analyzing equity/credit investments
  • Experience in Banking, Capital Markets, or Investment Management
  • Master's degree in finance or CFA
  • Coding / Automation skills
