Location: Washington, DC, United States

Public Engagement (PE) is hiring a Heartland Associate reporting to the Heartland Lead to support Corporate Responsibility (CR)s efforts to complement the firms expansion and growth across its Heartland footprint, and in alignment with PEs mandate to support business growth, address emerging issues and priorities, and strengthen the firms brand and reputation. The role will provide dedicated project management in a highly matrixed environment to support coordination and execution of CRs Heartland Program. 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage small to medium-sized projects; provide project management support for Heartland Lead and CRs Heartland Program, including developing and maintaining project plans and timelines and supporting business planning and impact measurement and evaluation.
  • Support the governance and execution of CRs Heartland Program, including maintaining Teams and other shared databases and sources updated and organized and actively monitoring project progress and execution. 
  • Schedule and support cross-functional meetings; document meetings and track decisions, takeaways, and deliverables; manage reporting outputs and track key indicators.
  • Conduct data analysis to generate insights that support strategic decision-making and storytelling; develop pitch decks, excel spreadsheets, data analyses, strategy plans, and other visual and analytical materials; concisely and comprehensively explain complex analytics using MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Support priority events and engagements with planning and logistics coordination; provide back-up support to Heartland Lead in priority meetings or engagements as needed.

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelors degree.

  • Minimum of five years of relevant work experience in project management, strategy, operations.

  • Creative, collaborative, and a self-starter, with a strong ability to work effectively in teams. Shows initiative and comfort with ambiguity, and is results-oriented, with keen attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Flexibility to prioritize, multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.

  • Strong program and time management skills, with proven ability to support teams to achieve outcomes efficiently and with urgency and to run complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leaders, developing executive-ready materials, and managing multi-stakeholder communications. 
  • Mastery of core Microsoft Office applications, with demonstrated expertise in creating complex PowerPoint presentations and excel spreadsheets. 
  • Domestic travel, approximately once per quarter or as needed.

Heartland Associate will provide critical program support to strengthen Corporate Responsibility efforts as the firm expands across Americas heartland.
