As a Compliance Risk Management Lead Vice President supporting the North America, J.P. Morgan Payments Line of Business (LOB) within the Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR) organization, you will report to a Compliance Director covering various products within the Payments business.  You will need to have the background and knowledge base to provide second line oversight and assess compliance and operational risk in connection with new Payments products, technologies and vendor relationships.  

 

You will work with a diverse team of CCOR professionals supporting all areas of the business around the globe, as the team works diligently to be innovative and present all business partners with thoughtful and unique solutions to the challenges they face.

Job Responsibilities

•    Interact with senior business and functional stakeholders in connection with the development and implementation of new and updated products and services, new vendor relationships, and the onboarding of new clients
•    Participate in various working groups to develop a robust data and AI framework 
•    Represent J.P. Morgan Payments CCOR at control forums and other business meetings
•    Share information about a wide range of regulatory and firm policy issues
•    Keep abreast of regulatory and legislative changes and providing oversight for the business on implementation of new rules, or regulatory guidance
•    Account for second line oversight of controls designed to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
•    Review new business initiatives and assessing their regulatory implications
•    Partner with global Compliance and Operational Risk colleagues and engaging other control functions e.g. Legal, Risk, Audit, Finance and Controls 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

•    Experience in compliance or another control function (risk, audit, internal controls)
•    Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to establish credibility with senior business and functional leads
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills and the ability to manage several simultaneous projects
•    Strong execution skills, involving project management like disciplines to ensure resolution and delivery
•    Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels both orally and in writing, including the ability to operate in a complex organizational structure
•    Self-starter and strongly motivated to achieve higher standards over time
•    Ability to deliver high quality results as part of a geographically dispersed global compliance team

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

•    Experience with payments and or data 
•    AI risk is helpful but not required
