As a Research Assistant in the Credit Research Team, you will support a team of Senior Analysts in their day-to-day responsibilities.

Job responsibilities: 

• Update financial models
• Maintain industry databases related to the Asia Pacific credit market, various sectors and economic data
• Prepare presentations and reports
• Assist with production of periodic publications such as Cross Regional Credit Weekly, Asia Credit Analytics and China Bond Analytics
• Provide basic write-ups on company backgrounds and corporate structures 
• Summarize covenants included in bond documentation
• Gather market intelligence through public news outlets 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills 

• Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant major, such as Finance, Accounting, Economics 
• At least 1 year of experience in a related field
• Strong analytical, accounting, and quantitative skills
• Proficiency in Excel
• Ability to produce accurate and detailed materials while meeting tight deadlines
• Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a diverse team

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills 

• Experience in research, investment banking, consulting, or another analytical and demanding role 
• CFA designation, or progress toward the designation
• Programming skills
• Proficiency in the Japanese language
