Youll work across vendors and global partners to solve problems, improve processes, and support service excellence.
As an Associate within the Australia Asset Management team, you will play a crucial role in delivering day-to-day fund accounting services to clients for both mutual funds and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). You will oversee vendor-delivered accounting and valuation activities and partner with stakeholders across Operations to resolve issues and deliver consistent outcomes. Youll be part of a collaborative team that values clear communication, strong governance, and continuous improvement.
Job responsibilities
- Facilitate fund accounting lifecycle events and complete administrative tasks, including invoice billing for client accounts.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding of funds and accounts in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor outsourced vendor performance and ensure governance standards are followed.
- Resolve day-to-day queries and issues, escalating appropriately to support timely outcomes.
- Prepare and maintain data used for reporting, including regulatory reports and client deliverables.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and support changes that enhance control, efficiency, and service quality.
- Partner with global stakeholders, including teams in Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, and the United States, to support end-to-end delivery.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated judgment, professionalism, and attention to detail in a controlled environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and deliver to deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Collaborative approach and ability to contribute positively to an open, inclusive team culture.
- Ability to assess complex situations, explain them clearly, and support practical resolution.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience in financial operations, ideally within asset management and/or supporting ETFs.
- Experience supporting projects or change initiatives, including planning, tracking actions, and managing stakeholders.
- Data management skills, including compiling, validating, and maintaining reporting datasets.
- Experience managing issues end-to-end, including escalation, root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
