Position: Institutional Equity Sales Support

What is the role?
An opportunity to join one of the largest and fastest growing equity sales teams on Wall Street in a sales support capacity. This role is integral to providing client coverage and enabling the Institutional Equity Sales team to operate efficiently and effectively. You will partner closely with sales professionals to support client engagement, optimize workflows, and ensure seamless execution of day-to-day sales activities. Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level sales support to the equity sales team covering institutional hedge fund clients, helping maximize client-facing time and productivity 
  • Assist in account management and client coverage workflows, including coordinating outreach, meeting preparation, and follow-ups with institutional equity clients 
  • Act as a liaison with clients and their assistants, ensuring a high level of responsiveness and professionalism in all interactions 
  • Maintain team members calendars, schedule meetings and conference calls with a focus on prioritizing client engagements and resolving conflicts efficiently 
  • Prepare and organize client-facing materials, presentations, and supporting documentation in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, including logistics, materials preparation, and follow-up actions to support ongoing client relationships  
  • Support distribution of sales resources and communications to clients to enhance engagement and information flow 
  • Prepare and submit expenses via SAP Concur and ensure timely, accurate processing 
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, including airfare, hotel arrangements, and car service, ensuring seamless client coverage while traveling 
  • Work remotely at times while supporting team members and maintaining continuity on key sales activities and client deliverables 
  • Coordinate print and production of materials for client meetings, events, and presentations 
  • Meet and greet visitors and clients, contributing to a professional and client-focused experience 

Required Background/Skills:

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel (proficient, advanced knowledge not required but helpful)
  • Experience using SAP Concur preferred
  • Experience working in a high-pressure trading floor or sales environment preferred
  • Highly motivated and proactive self-starter with a strong sales support mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong client service orientation
  • Superior time management, organization, and adaptability skills with strong attention to detail
  • Quick learner with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, client-driven environment 
  • Ability to handle confidential information with a high level of discretion 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 3+ years of sales support or instituional sales experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills with proficient knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
