We provide strategic advice and execute complex M&A transactions, equity offerings, debt financings, and infrastructure capital raises across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, working seamlessly with colleagues in our global network.
The Associate will play an integral role in deal execution, client coverage, and sector research, acting as a key link between Analysts, senior bankers, and clients. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a market-leading advisory platform positioned at the forefront of the region’s energy transition and sustainable infrastructure investment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day execution of M&A, equity, debt, and structured financing transactions across the EMEA power, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.
- Build, refine, and review detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and scenario planning to support client recommendations and transaction structuring.
- Prepare pitch books, management presentations, offering memoranda, and other high-quality marketing and transaction materials, with a focus on industry insight and strategic positioning.
- Perform in-depth industry research, market mapping, and competitor analysis, monitoring regulatory developments and investment trends impacting the EMEA PUI landscape.
- Coordinate workstreams between internal teams, legal advisors, accounting firms, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction delivery.
- Coach and develop Analysts, fostering technical excellence and sector knowledge within the team.
- Support senior bankers in building and maintaining long-term client relationships, including idea generation, market updates, and proactive outreach.
- Contribute to business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities and supporting coverage efforts across the EMEA region.
Key Requirements:
- 3–5 years in investment banking, project finance, corporate finance, private equity, or corporate development with exposure to the power, utilities, energy, or infrastructure sector
- Exceptional analytical and financial modelling skills, including proficiency in DCF, precedent transaction, and comparable company valuation methods.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to run multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and clients across different cultures and geographies.
- Interest in the energy transition, sustainable infrastructure investment, and EMEA regulatory environments affecting the sector.
- Self-starter with a collaborative approach and strong attention to detail.
