Mission
As a Pricing Expert in Retail Banking, your mission is to be an intrapreneur, shape & continuously refine the pricing strategies for INGs retail products and services. You will ensure that pricing decisions are datadriven, transparent, and customercentric, while supporting sustainable business growth. By combining analytical expertise with a strong understanding of customer behavior and market dynamics, you will contribute to pricing solutions that are fair, competitive, and aligned with INGs purpose: empowering customers to stay a step ahead in life and in business.
About the team
You will join a multidisciplinary team within Retail Banking, working closely with Customer Journey Experts, Product Owners, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Data teams. The team operates in an agile and collaborative environment, where open dialogue, shared ownership, and continuous improvement are encouraged. Together, the focus is on delivering customer value, ensuring regulatory compliance, and strengthening INGs longterm performance through sound and responsible pricing decisions.
Your day to day
In your role, you will be responsible for a broad range of analytical, strategic, and collaborative activities, including:
- Analyzing customer behavior, price elasticity, portfolio evolution, and product profitability.
- Building and interpreting financial and scenario models to assess pricing options and their impact on P&L, capital, risk, and customer outcomes.
- Monitoring pricing performance and translating insights into clear, datadriven recommendations.
- Contributing to the development, implementation, and maintenance of pricing strategies for retail banking products such as mortgages, consumer lending, and deposits.
- Defining and updating pricing policies, including fees, commissions, and discount frameworks.
- Working closely with Customer Journey Experts to ensure pricing is integrated seamlessly into digital customer journeys and touchpoints.
- Identifying opportunities to simplify pricing structures and improve transparency and customer experience.
- Tracking market trends, competitor pricing, and macroeconomic developments to support INGs competitive positioning.
- Collaborating with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure pricing initiatives meet internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting reviews, validations, and audit activities related to pricing governance.
What you bring to the team
You bring a combination of analytical strength, business understanding, and collaborative mindset, supported by:
- 35+ years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, product management, business performance, or a related role.
- Strong banking experience with an in-depth understanding of lending products, especially mortgages.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
- A solid understanding of retail banking products, financial indicators, and the regulatory environment.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders and the ability to influence decisions through clear and structured communication.
- Excellent attention to detail and comfort working with complex datasets.
- A structured, solutionoriented mindset and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Experience working in an agile environment (considered an advantage).
- Familiarity with analytical or modelling tools such as advanced Excel or Python (nice to have).
- Previous experience in pricing within a regulated industry (nice to have).
