We are seeking a senior Cash Equity Hedge Fund Sales professional for leading coverage of top tier hedge fund clients based in New York. The role will require that the individual focuses on monetizing and deepening their pre-existing and long standing relationships at the Portfolio Manager / Chief Investment Officer / Head of Trading level, driving revenues and share of wallet across U.S. and global cash equities and associated solutions, including Prime.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Senior Hedge Fund salesperson for a portfolio of top tier hedge funds, with frequent direct engagement at Portfolio Manager (PM) and senior trading level
- Develop and execute account plans with clear revenue, share of wallet and cross sell targets
- Originate and deliver high conviction trade ideas, market color and execution solutions (high touch, electronic, program and block/risk trades)
- Coordinate internally with trading, research, corporate access, prime/synthetics to deliver a cohesive coverage offering
- Monitor client activity, profitability and wallet trends; reprioritize coverage to maximize Profit and Loss impact
- Uphold highest standards of conduct, compliance and risk management in all client dealings
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior and mid-level sales colleagues
Skills Competencies
- Experience of cash equity or hedge fund sales at a leading investment bank or broker dealer
- Proven revenue track record with top tier hedge funds and an active network of senior PM level relationships
- Strong knowledge of U.S. and global cash equity markets, hedge fund strategies and market structure
- Excellent sales, negotiation and communication skills; highly commercial and analytical
- Ability to work in a high-paced and dynamic environment
- Bachelors degree required; advanced qualifications (e.g. CFA) an advantage
- Regulatory licenses FINRA Series 7 and 63 or ability to obtain within required timeframe
- Based in, or willing to relocate to, New York, NY
