CIB COO (Corporate and Institutional Banking)

Our COO team delivers strategic execution for Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) across the globe. Through transformative data and digital solutions, customer servicing, and non-financial risk expertise, this team is where problems are solved, and careers are made.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

1) Assist to construct and maintain a robust compliance infrastructure for the OPS department. Fulfill internal and external return and reporting requirements accurately and timely. Assist Line Manager to handle regulatory requirements and inspections.

2) To supervise banking operations efficiently and accurately according to local regulations and internal operational guidelines. Ensure no customer complaint and operational error and maintain high level of service standards.

3) Take proper action to ensure all account service related instructions are processed within set turnaround time and full adherence to service level agreement. Monitor the accuracy and timeliness of account related regulatory system input to avoid operational error and loss and assist line manager to set up control mechanism within responsible area. Double check system report prepared by operator and monitor day end reconciliation as well as document filing is well conducted.

4) Monitor irregular/outstanding cases and handle exceptional cases within responsible area to avoid operational risk as well as to ensure no customer complaint.

5) To supervise daily and monthly returns prepared by operator and forward to relevant party for consolidation and submission. Assist line manager to coordinate the ad hoc regulatory on-site/off-site inspections.

6) Assist line manager to arrange and allocate resources in banking operations to achieve maximum performance.

7) Take up backup tasks for other operations roles as assigned by line manager when necessary and work with team spirit.

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

1. Bachelor degree or above, 2-3 years working experience in banking field is preferable.

2. Be proficient to maintain solid banking operations related knowledge as well as the being familiar with the local regulations.

3. Demonstrate proactive attitude and able to work under pressure and have a ability to solve the problem with efficiency and meticulous to details.

4. Self-disciplined, motivated and well-organized, being able to work under pressure.

5. Good interpersonal skills and coordination skills, demonstrating strong capability on task/people management.

6. Demonstrating strong team-work sprite, being flexible to mobilize-working per resource arrangement
