Full Job Description

Role purpose

The role holder will support HSBC Mexico as the main source of financial information by customers/segments, including Revenues, Expenses, Profit before Taxed (PBT) and other key financial metrics. The individual will be part of a high talented team, which from data at the most granular level, will provide financial insides to all segments/products/channel Heads. Also, in charge of segment forecast cycles as well as annual budgeting plans. The financial reviews of campaigns, strategic initiatives and business proposals will be part of the role, among others.

Key player to understand main financial drivers per customer (something totally new and key to HSBC strategy in Mexico)

Main activities

  • Exploit customer level information to understand main financial drivers for each segments
  • Create new dashboards/KPIs to measure the financial performance of relevant IWPB segments/channels
  • In charge of all Financial Forecasting projections by clients, segments
  • Participation and advisory in terms of segment pricing (new value proposition / new campaigns)
  • Analysis and value added to support financial decision making
  • Support in terms of new initiatives implementation for the area and the business
  • Senior management advisory

Requirements

  • Degree in Computational science or data science related field.
  • SAS knowledge is a plus.
  • Overall experience in data science/data management (no need to be in Financial Institutions)
  • Finance/Banking product knowledge is a plus.
  • Proven automatization experience through Python, Excel Macros etc.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical and/or non-technical projects.
  • Strong analytical skills in terms of data science
  • Experience of working with colleagues cross-border in a multinational organization is desirable.
  • Confidence working with staff that includes the highest levels of management.
  • Curiosity is the most important skill for this role
