This team is the backbone of our Global Markets business (one of the largest of its kind in the world) and combines sophisticated 24-hour global coverage with a detailed knowledge of local markets and specialises in foreign exchange, credits and rates, structured derivatives, equities and debt, equity and equity-linked capital markets.

Markets Operations is responsible for driving every part of the trade lifecycle post-execution. This team manages settlement activity, risk and control, adherence to regulatory compliance, and seamless operational client service across 58 countries and territories.

People Responsibility: N

Report To: SVP Derivatives Operations

  1. Handle day to day BAU operational process on global market products with focus on FI/Derivatives, including but is not limited to trade reconciliation, affirmation, confirmation, settlement and regulatory reports.
  2. Cooperate and coordinate an efficient operation for Derivatives Business.
  3. Ensure all the transactions undertaken are processed, properly documented, accurately recorded, checked and settled in accordance with local regulations and group guidelines, policies and standards.
  4. Ensure adequate Systems /control procedures are well established to cope with business requirement and protect HSBC’s interest
  5. Provide immediate and professional response to customer’s query and support business to deliver best client service as one team to enhance clients experience.

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business
  2. Relevant experience and responsibilities in Banking
  3. Sound knowledge on global markets products & operational procedures
  4. Details oriented, fast learning ability, Numeric sensitivity and aggressive personality
  5. Sense of operational risk
  6. Good communication skill
  7. Strong PC skills
  8. GPAD Covered
