Were currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Business Banking Direct Relationship Manager.
As a Relationship Manager youll provide dedicated relationship management to a portfolio of customers with accountability for sales, service, risk and operational delivery.

In this role youll:
- Focus on growing the business sustainably, by identifying opportunities to expand a portfolio and broadening client relationships by leveraging HSBC's extensive network
- Drive revenue growth through understanding customer needs and by adopting a needs-based approach which engages clients and increases new business
- Build a strong understanding of the client's business and industry to promote insights, enrich client conversations and deliver fair outcomes by treating customers fairly. Relationship Management role holders will be required to acquire knowledge of a product area and in some geographies may need to hold specific certificates or need membership of a regulatory body
- Deepen understanding of the client through pro-active credit risk assessments and customer due diligence reviews
- Confidently manage financial crime risk throughout the client lifecycle by identifying, assessing, accepting, monitoring, escalating and mitigating risk, and ensure adherence to all applicable operational risk HSBC Standards and policies, reporting any breaches in accordance with local procedures
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Have an understanding of Banks systems including Browser Main Menu, Document Viewer, Excel, Word, Outlook
- Have an understanding of Business types and structures, and Product knowledge of non-complex and complex commercial products
- Understanding and experience in reading and interpreting of financial accounts and writing strong credit applications
- An understanding of Financial Crime Risk policies and an understanding of HSBC credit risk appetite as it relates to the segment
- Strong influencing skills and ability to build positive working relationships with our customers, colleagues and stakeholders
- Experience within Business Development
