We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Business Analyst Transformation.

In this role, you will:

  • Developing portfolio roadmap for respective area and execution against that roadmap - liaising with the demand initiator, facilitating breakdown of required activity, and allocating ownership to the most suitable VS by balancing alignment, prioritisation, and VS readiness.
  • Manage the project approach and build stakeholder buy in around the project plan, commitments and changes. Manages the successful run of governance forums, including facilitation when appropriate. Governance forums can include VS Reviews, Portfolio Syncs, Scrum of Scrums, PI Planning and QBR.
  • Working across multiple markets and business/functions with multiple delivery and business partner teams. Defining the approach and dealing with complex requirements and unique projects often one-off initiatives.
  • Management and control of projects to meet exacting timescales. Achieve sustainable saves and measurable improvements across the program as set out in the business case. Manages Value Stream level delivery-related reporting enabling self-service wherever possible and providing exception reports for senior stakeholders.
  • CLOs/SRT, Non-payment Insurance, Funded and Unfunded sub-participations, Secondary Loan sales.
  • The Delivery Lead will work with senior management and programme sponsors to help plan the programme and will continuously report progress, status and issues to this group.
  • Work with Business Analysts to re-prioritise as and when there are changes in scope, bugs arise or any blockers surface
  • Maintain a robust and efficient control environment to ensure good operational, financial and project management and compliance with HSBC policy and procedures, together with early identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise.
  • Ensures successful management of dependencies, risks and issues, including identification and removal of Value Stream delivery impediments, management of cross-VS dependencies, escalation of issues to Portfolio/CIOs, and tracking of key delivery risks.

To be successful, you will:

  • A solid understanding of banking regulations, especially around capital treatments and securitisation regulations.
  • Knowledge around credit risk mitigation techniques (securitisations, credit insurance, credit derivatives) and loan products.
  • Excellent problem solving, organisational and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of any programming language is desirable (e.g. Python, SQL or Power Apps).
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to build and maintain global relationships.
  • Delivery-focused with ability to pay attention to detail and ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required levels of quality.
  • Ability to construct clear and considered arguments.
  • Proven ability to prioritise competing demands.
