We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Manager, Operational Resilience.

Principal responsibilities

As the Assistant Manager, Operational Resilience, you will support the Hong Kong HSBC RBW Business Service Owners (BSO) and Critical Operation (CO) Leads in the execution of the OR Programme. You will act as a key point of coordination among stakeholders and assist in the preparation and maintenance of OR artefacts for review and approval by BSO and CO Leads.

  • Support the BSO and CO Lead to refresh the IBS and CO artefacts on annual cycle or by trigger events (e.g. post-incident review, significant business changes, new regulatory requirement etc.).
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g. Process Owner, Third Party Engagement Manger, IT Service Owner, global mapping team) to ensure the IBS/CO artefacts are up-to-date.
  • Monitor and track the remediation plan of Business Vulnerabilities and Technology Vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in coordinating Scenario Testing the Scenario Testing with BCIM team and key stakeholders.
  • Support BSOs and CO Leads in completing their Quarterly Self-assessment and Annual Self-assessment, ensuring sign-off and obtaining risk steward comments.
  • Ensure all IBS and CO artefacts are adhere to Operating Instructions and procedures, also to ensure the data quality on ARIS and BSO dashboard is accurate.
  • Prepare meeting materials for the BSO Governance Meeting, coordinate inputs from stakeholders, and arrange pre-meetings with Business, IT, and Operations teams for material incidents.
  • Address and follow up on queries and challenges from the Second Line of Defence (2LoD) and Third Line of Defence (3LoD).
  • Contribute to the global landscape of Operational Resilience programme activities.

Requirements

  • University graduate.
  • Possess working experience from a banking/financial institution, familiar with HSBC products and buisness services.
  • Experienced in liaising with internal/external business partners.
  • Good command of written and spoken English as well as Cantonese.
  • Basic knowledge in Non-Financial Risk (NFR).
  • Ability to work agile and experience in project management with good deliverables.
  • Experience in IT incident management / Third Party management / Business Continuity Management is a plus.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.

Due to the urgent hiring need, candidates with immediate right to work locally and no relocation need will be prioritised.
