We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Analyst Regulatory Reporting.

In this role, you will:

  • This team is a global, cross-asset-class role that works closely with front-to-back stakeholders to ensure key controls are in place to reduce HSBCs overall regulatory risk.
  • The team are considered the Control Owners for Over-the counter and Exchange-Traded Derivatives Trade & Transaction Reporting and responsible for ensuring that HSBCs various reporting obligations (HKMA, ASIC/MAS, MIFID, EMIR, SFTR, CFTC, CSA, SEC) are met in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Implement and monitor controls across exceptions, reconciliations, quality assurance and pairing & matching. Mitigate under-reporting, over-reporting, and mis-reporting risks identified by controls.
  • Escalate identified issues and work with various stakeholders to implement strategic solutions. Create management information dashboards to highlight key performance indicators and risk indicators.
  • Respond to counterparty queries and exchange information for accurate reporting. Manage audit and business queries within agreed Service Level Agreement response time.

To be successful you will:

  • A degree in banking / finance / risk management with Understanding of end-to-end trade lifecycle and characteristics of typical OTC Derivative products.
  • Strong foundation of risk management principles and understanding of controls framework. Awareness of the global regulatory landscape and key aspects of various Trade and Transactions Reporting regulations.
  • Technical understanding of how systems propagate data, calculate risk, and deliver various regulatory reports. Analytical skills to process vast amounts of data and provide meaningful insights.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools (QlikView, Power BI) Coding skill in VBA, Python, SQL.
  • Proficiency in project management and workflow tools (JIRA, MS projects, MS SharePoint, Confluence) Previous experience in a risk / control environment (or similar) within a global Investment Bank/Financial Institution.
