Compliance with environmental and regulatory obligations is a critical component of Gunvors operations.

Role Overview

Gunvor Group is seeking a motivated EPA Compliance Intern to support its Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) compliance efforts. This role offers hands-on exposure to environmental regulations, internal controls, and regulatory reporting within a global commodities trading organization. The intern will work closely with compliance and business stakeholders to help document, structure, and communicate EPA-related requirements and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Map EPA desk accountabilities and document EPA-related responsibilities across relevant desks and functions.

  • Identify gaps in existing procedures and determine where updates or new procedures are required.

  • Create an internal presentation explaining what the Role of the EPA Analyst is and why it is important to Gunvors business.

  • Research and understand governing EPA regulations and their historical context, with a focus on onboarding support.

  • Develop presentations outlining EPA regulations and reporting requirements related to specific products.

  • Assist with structuring, maintaining, and improving EPA reporting workbooks and tracking tools.

Requirements

  • Must be entering senior year of college at the time of the internship.

  • Must be available to work in the Downtown Houston area between May and August 2026.

  • Must be pursuing a legal, compliance, regulatory, or closely related major.

  • Must demonstrate a strong interest in EPA compliance and environmental regulation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong research, documentation, and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.
