Interim Housing Compliance Manager
6-Month Contract | £450–£550 per day (Inside IR35, DOE)
Location: Home Counties
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Interim Housing Compliance Manager to lead and manage housing compliance across a maintenance service within the social housing sector.
This is a key interim role responsible for ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory housing health and safety requirements, including gas, electrical, fire safety, water hygiene, and asbestos management. You will play a critical role in maintaining safe, compliant homes and driving continuous improvement across services.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with housing health and safety legislation and regulatory standards
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance frameworks and monitoring systems
- Oversee statutory inspections, servicing, and safety programmes
- Manage contractor performance and ensure delivery to required standards
- Lead on audits, inspections, and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions where required
- Produce clear compliance reports for senior leadership
- Provide expert compliance advice and guidance across the organisation
About You
- Proven experience in a housing compliance role within social housing
- Strong working knowledge of housing health and safety legislation
- Experience managing compliance teams and external contractors
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH)
