Goldman Partner Office Planning

The Goldman Partner Office Planning team (GPOP) works in coordination with private wealth advisors to develop strong relationships with our EMEA-based Goldman Sachs Partners (our most senior executives at the firm). The primary aim of the group is to deliver a full suite of wealth planning and family office services, including wealth reporting, cash flow management, income tax planning, trust and estate planning, philanthropic giving, concierge services and general administrative support. 

 

ROLE SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a talented individual to prepare and develop wealth reporting and data visualisations, as part of a fully integrated wealth advisory service for EMEA and APAC based GS Partners. Tasks include:

  • Working closely with the 4 person EMEA GPO Planning team in London and analyst in India to help deliver a consistent and high-standard Family Office service to GS Partners
  • Preparing wealth reports and other ad-hoc custom reporting (e.g. share summaries, cash flow, capital gains base cost calculations, balance sheets, estate planning)
  • Collaborating with project managers and a team of engineering professionals to assist in automating current processes and to improve productivity by reducing time spent on manual tasks such as data entry and reviews.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with private wealth advisor teams, Goldman Sachs Engineering, Goldman Sachs Human Capital Management and other key internal constituencies
  • Working with external vendors on tax return preparation by collating tax data
  • Collaborate with private wealth management teams, trustees, attorneys, accountants, and other advisors and professional service providers in order to deliver on GS Partners wealth planning objectives

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Skilled in working with unstructured datasets, highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
  • Ideal, but not essential, experience working with high net worth clients, some experience of the tax implications of investment portfolios, estate planning entities and philanthropic entities
  • Previous experience working in an operational, financial reporting, data analytics or finance/technology hybrid role is favourable
  • Resourceful, energetic, extremely organized, attention to detail and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to work as a team
  • Ability to work and think clearly under pressure
  • Commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity
  • Deep interest in the financial markets and good investment sense / commercial instinct
