The Head of API and ISO Product Management will lead the strategic vision and execution of our payment channel capabilities, ensuring that technology serves as a powerful enabler of exceptional client outcomes and sustainable business growth.

Responsibilities

The API Product Manager will work with a team of engineers, treasurers, and commercial roles to design, develop, and execute of a comprehensive technical product roadmap. This individual will focus on client-facing programmatic payment interfaces, including APIs, ISO messaging standards, and Swift protocols. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to navigate complex technical environments and build strong partnerships with both engineering teams and corporate treasury professionals.

Strategic Impact and Commercial Execution Beyond technical delivery, the API Product Managers are expected to drive measurable commercial outcomes. This involves architecting bespoke client solutions and maintaining focus on market differentiation to ensure our services remain best-in-class. This role will collaborate extensively across the TxB organizationpartnering with Sales, Engineering, Risk, Design, and Servicingto deliver a seamless, high-performance payments experience for our global client base.  Developer Experience is another primary focus of this role so that humans (and increasingly Agents) can understand how to work with TxB in a way that is efficient and differentiating. 

This role will also need to drive (and get great learning / exposure to) Product Strategy: Own the end-to-end product vision and roadmap for API features, encompassing API-based payment rails, card solutions, real-time payments (RTP), and digital channel experiences; Performance Management: Define, analyze, and optimize product performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), market trend analysis, revenue impact assessments, and client feedback loops; Stakeholder Alignment: Synthesize complex technical processes into clear, compelling strategic narratives to secure stakeholder buy-in and drive firm-wide initiatives: Sales Enablement: Act as a partner to the Sales organization by identifying client needs, providing expert solution recommendations, defining pricing strategies, and leading high-impact product demonstrations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Product Management, with demonstrated leadership experience across Payments and/or APIs and/or technical products
  • Experience in API design and developer experience (DX)  including RESTful API product management, developer portals, and API-first product strategy
  • Background in electronic payments  including ACH, wires, SWIFT, real-time payments (RTP, FedNow, SEPA Instant), and cross-border payment flows
  • Demonstrated ability to apply or oversee Generative AI solutions within a financial services or payments context
  • Proven ability to balance technology innovation with commercial outcomes understanding that great technology must ultimately serve client needs and drive business results
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level

  • Drive the integration and strategic application of Generative AI capabilities within payment channels including intelligent payment routing, anomaly detection, client-facing assistants, and workflow automation
  • Stay current on industry trends including ISO 20022 migration, real-time payments, open banking/APIs, card scheme innovations, and network-level VAS (e.g., SWIFT gpi, request-to-pay schemes)
  • Ensuring all payment channel products comply with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., AML/KYC, data privacy such as GDPR/CCPA, PSD2 where applicable)
