We're a team of specialists charged with managing the firms liquidity, capital and risk, and providing the overall financial control and reporting functions. Whether assessing the creditworthiness of the firms counterparties, monitoring market risks associated with trading activities, or offering analytical and regulatory compliance support, our work contributes directly to the firms success. If you want to develop an in-depth understanding of financial services, Controllers is a great place to begin and develop your career. You will work with colleagues both locally and internationally, as part of Goldman Sachss global reporting function. In addition, the team works on many local and global projects which have impact on our financial and operational structure and you will have the chance to experience these. 

 

The primary mission of Controllers is to ensure that the firm meets the financial control and reporting obligations of a global, regulated and public financial institution. The Legal Entity Controller team is responsible for the financial and regulatory reporting functions for the firms various subsidiaries in the Asia Pacific region. Primary responsibilities include the below for Taiwan and offshore entities:

 

  • Financial Reporting maintain books and records, prepare financial statements under (not limited to) IFRS and USGAAP, and perform relevant financial analyses.
  • Regulatory Reporting prepare semi-annual & annual audited financial statements, annual tax return and other statutory filings; prepare and file monthly regulatory reports; perform analysis of regulatory requirements.
  • Internal Control ensure that control standards are maintained and documented across all assigned jurisdictions.
  • Collaboration work closely with other areas within Controllers, both locally and globally, as well as with other divisions.
  • Project Participation contribute in regional office and cross-divisional initiatives. 
  • Business Knowledge develop a broad understanding of various business and financial products.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor degree or above in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3 or more years working experience in the financial industry.
  • License: CPA and/or Taiwan senior brokerage license preferred.
  • Knowledge in TWIFRS and/or USGAAP preferred.
  • Good PC skills (particularly with Excel).
  • Strong communicator and fluency in English.
  • Strong control mindset.
  • Independent, self-motivated and the ability to problem-solve.
  • Ability to work under pressure, possess strong team spirit.
