Join Glencore Metals, Queensland Operations as a Human Resources Officer, supporting the HR team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment where youll play a key role across the employee lifecycle. About the role
The Human Resources Officer role supports the Mount Isa Mines by providing high-quality administrative and operational HR support within a fast-paced and high-volume environment. Reporting to the HR Superintendent, this role plays a key part in supporting HR Advisors across core activities including onboarding, reporting, payroll administration, and employee lifecycle processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide HR administrative support across a range of functions
- Complete data entry across payroll, performance reviews, and HR systems
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including travel arrangements
- Maintain accurate document control and HR records
- Assist with end-of-month reporting and processing
- Audit HR systems to ensure data accuracy and compliance
- Support HR Advisors with general administration tasks
- Manage internal and external stakeholder enquiries via phone and email
About you skills and experience
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced HR or administrative environment, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently. You will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident supporting HR processes across the employee lifecycle. Experience in mining or a similar operational environment is beneficial, along with a willingness to take ownership, learn quickly, and contribute to a collaborative team
You will bring:
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in high-volume environments
- Experience using HR systems such as SAP or Ellipse (desirable)
- Strong computer literacy across Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting
- Ability to manage confidential information appropriately
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and supporting team outcomes
- Current drivers licence
