We are seeking passionate Metallurgical Technician to join our solutions team in Santiago. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with advanced flotation technology and contribute to the development and implementation of Jameson Cells, with additional exposure to IsaMill and Albion technologies. Your role will primarily encompass training and supporting site teams, test work completed on mine sites and in laboratories, commissioning our technologies and supporting the clients on planning and interpreting test work. The role includes significant domestic and international travel away from home up to 60-80% of the time.  The role also involves the requirement to work at mine site elevations of up to 5000 m so you must be able to work at these elevations.

This role requires the ability to write and speak in English, the interview process will be conducted in English.

You will be responsible for:

  • Design, oversee, and assist with test work programs on mine sites and laboratories.
  • Ongoing support to technology users and key stakeholders.
  • Provide advise through all facets of project development and execution, including test work, analysis, equipment sizing, flowsheet development/modelling, commissioning, and post-commissioning support
  • Identification of continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Support the development, marketing, investigation, and implementation of the Jameson Cell and our other technologies.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Degree in chemical engineering or metallurgy.
  • +5 years experience operating flotation circuits on a mine site
  • Experience performing flotation and grinding testing activities at an industrial level
  • Experience operating industrial flotation plants: implementing new developments, interacting with clients
  • Advanced English skills and fluent in Spanish (Ability to discuss technical concepts in English required)
  • Knowledge of flotation mass balances, process simulation, and mineralogical characterization
  • Experience conducting testing programs with metallurgical laboratories
  • Experience with Jameson cell technology would be preferred
  • Additional experience in grinding, stirred milling, and hydrometallurgy is advantageous
