Glencore Mount Isa Mines is currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated Administration Assistant, based at George Fisher Mine. This role will report into the Technical Services Manager and will be on either a 5:2/ 4:3 9 hours per day work roster or on a 5/2 8 hours per day work roster.
The Role
In this position you will have the opportunity to provide a high level of administration support to the Mining Tech Services Manager and the Tech Services team. We offer a unique opportunity for you to join an innovative and dynamic team along with the ability to assess and implement improvement initiatives through the division. This role is residentially based in Mount Isa and will be a permanent role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Coordinating department travel arrangements
- Booking and coordination of visitor site visits
- Developing and applying administrative systems and processes for continuous improvement
- Ensuring all office inventory levels are maintained
- Liaising with the administration team across site on ad hoc and planned projects
- On-boarding of new starters in collaboration with HR
- Contractor administration support on site
- Co-ordinate and liaise with contractors and other similar service providers
- Managing and Organizing of Management Calendars
- Assisting with Functions and BBQs.
- Previous experience the administration
- Manual Australian drivers licence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, and knowledge of SAP/Coupa and Bsafe is desirable
- Excellent customer service delivery and organizational skills
- The ability to meet set deadlines and prioritize activities where required
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail and high problem-solving skills.
