About the Department

Our Asia Legal Department assists with the preparation of constitutive documents for investment fund products, handling filing matters, legal research and drafting of legal documents. The team ensures proper communication and co-ordination with internal departments throughout the organization in relation to the authorization and ongoing

operations of fund products. We also maintain and update the database of legal documents and contracts and provide translation of documents from English into Chinese and vice versa. Working here offers a dynamic, collaborative environment where members gain

exposure to complex legal processes, strengthen technical expertise, and develop problem-solving skills—providing professional growth and the chance to contribute to impactful legal work.

How You Will Add Value

Core Responsibilities

  • Be involved in legal aspects of business and product development

  • Assist in the preparation of documentation required for the authorization as well as on-going maintenance of investment products

  • Assist in the review and preparation of various types of agreements relating to corporate entities and fund products

  • Handle Company Secretarial work – resolution and minutes for Board and Shareholders meetings

  • Research and provide updates on regulatory developments in the region

  • Be proactive and participate in company’s engagement initiatives

  • Perform general administrative duties for the legal team including mailing/scanning/faxing, typing of documents, record keeping/filing, setting up and arranging meetings and booking of flights, hotel etc.

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role

Experience, Education & Certifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related discipline

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in an international law firm or investment management firm will be an advantage

  • Knowledge of unit trust/mutual fund /asset management industry is desirable

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese

Soft Skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple responsibilities with a positive attitude

  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with individuals across all levels, both within the organization and externally

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Detail oriented, eager to learn, and a strong team player
