Intern, Corporates - Brazil

 

The LatAm Corporate team is currently seeking an intern based out of our Rio de Janeiro office.

Well Count on You To:

  • He Collect, organize, and prepare company data from financial statements, earnings release and calls, and producing descriptive tables and charts per analyst instructionsto support existing ratings, new rating mandates, and research publications.
  • Perform data analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing Latin American corporates, supporting existing ratings, new rating mandates, and research publications.
  • Assist in maintaining Fitchs financial databases.
  • Support lead analysts in preparing materials for credit rating committees.
  • Compile market/news items using approved sources/templates.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to publish research and presentations for both internal and external audiences.
  • Assist with special projects as defined, within this support-only scope and under analyst supervision.
  • Perform other required tasks within non-analytical support scope and under analyst supervision and approval.
  • Support in maintaining back-office files and folders according to analysts directions and controls.
  • Adhere to internal controls, confidentiality, and compliance policies.
  • Attend training on methodologies, models, and rating criteria for awareness.

 

What You Need to Have:

  • Student in his/her final years of undergraduate in the fields of economics, financial studies, accounting or similar career
  • Little or no experience
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken. Spanish is a plus
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Sound writing and communication skills
  • Curiosity about capital markets, credit risk, and macro/sector trends
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
