About your team
Trade Management Service (TMS)team plays a critical posttrade and settlement role, acting as the operational bridge between trading desks, brokers, custodians, brokers, and internal control functions. The team ensures that trades executed by investment teams are operationally ready, settled accurately, and supported by robust controls across global markets.
The TMS team is responsible for endtoend trade lifecycle support after execution, ensuring trades settle correctly across asset classes such as Equity, Fixed Income, FX, derivatives, and money market instruments. This includes managing marketspecific settlement nuances, prefunding requirements, and jurisdictional rules.
About Your Role
The primary responsibility for this position is to manage daily operations and participate in special assignments. Key duties include supporting trade processing alongside investment teams, traders, brokers, global custodian banks, and other internal and external stakeholders; contributing to the resolution of operational challenges; and assisting with company projects.
Actively contribute to daily TMS team operations as a key member, with responsibilities including:
- Overseeing trade confirmation processes for Fixed Income, FX, and derivative instruments, including OTC, CFD, and ETD products.
- Monitoring same-day and upcoming settlements across multiple asset classes, including Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives, and Money Market instruments.
- Working closely with brokers, custodians, and trading teams to promptly identify, investigate, and resolve settlement breaks, fails, or mismatches.
- Responding to follow-up inquiries from internal stakeholders such as the investment team, fund accounting, cash reconciliation, and client service teams.
- Communicating effectively with overseas counterparts (e.g., Dublin, Hong Kong, and the UK) to ensure smooth and efficient global middle-office operations.
- Coordinating with other business units to understand their requirements and incorporate them into operational procedures.
- Participating in team projects and process improvement initiatives, including system enhancements and automation.
- Performing daily operational tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
- Escalating issues or exceptions to management promptly when they arise.
- Working on rotating shifts (e.g., 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m.).
- Being flexible to work additional hours and/or on public holidays based on operational requirements.
About you
- Bachelors degree or above in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
- Solid foundational knowledge of Finance and/or Economics
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Technical or automation skills are preferred; strong analytical capability is an advantage (e.g. Python or other programming skills)
- Japanese language skills are a plus
- Strong attention to detail with good logical and structured thinking
- Ability to identify, assess, and manage operational risk
- Strong sense of urgency with the ability to execute effectively under time pressure
- Highly motivated and businessdriven mindset
- Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new processes and systems quickly
- Good time management and problemsolving skills
