The Role

Do you want to make a difference and be part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional team committed to overseeing and improving the quality of operations with our Professional Service Vendors within the Enterprise Technology business unit?

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Manager of Vendor Management to join our team and play a pivotal role in optimizing our Professional Services vendor relationships and ensuring operational excellence.

You will be responsible for the oversight of a portfolio of strategic and operationally critical Professional service vendors.

You will have a strong focus on driving vendor performance and impacting overall financial benefit to Fidelity. You will collaborate and build effective working relationships with business partners and leaders to drive strategic direction, performance, and value. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in vendor management, performance monitoring, and strategic partnerships.

You will be responsible for daily prioritization and the ability to drive multiple efforts simultaneously. This role is highly analytical and requires the delivery of results as both an individual contributor and through influence in a highly matrixed, fast-paced organization.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating vendor performance and verify contract compliance - Monitor adherence to legal, regulatory, operational, and pricing terms and conditions. Monitor results against goals via vendor performance scorecard
  • Developing job aids and templates to support documentation of performance evaluation and contractual compliance
  • Reviewing incidents and escalations in relation to supplier-specific performance
  • Publishing & maintaining vendor reports Spend, Headcount, and their projects on a monthly/Quarterly basis
  • Managing vendor relationship with minimal support
  • Implementing new vendor arrangements and ensuring that work plans are kept on track and operational issues are identified and resolved upfront prior to going live
  • Conducting financial analysis and reporting to evaluate potential cost savings
  • Day-to-day oversight and administration of FT professional services vendors in accordance with the applicable service model
  • Building a data-driven approach to the proactive management and oversight of vendor portfolio
  • Discovering, understanding, and mitigating the risks of Fidelitys critical Professional services vendors

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelors degree in business or technical discipline or equivalent work experience; Masters degree a plus
  • Proven experience in vendor management, procurement, or a related role, with a minimum of 10+ years in a leadership position
  • Strong working knowledge of vendor management best practices and industry trends
  • Ability to formulate and execute a comprehensive vendor management strategy aligned with organizational goals, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making
  • Proven experience with relevant regulations and compliance standards in vendor management
  • Experience with establishing and overseeing performance metrics and KPIs for vendors. Regularly evaluate vendor performance and implement improvement initiatives
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to collaborate with various business units to understand their requirements and ensure vendor services align with organizational needs
  • Strong ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, driving collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to partner with Vendor Risk Oversight (VRO) Center of Excellence (COE) and Offshore Risk Control Assurance (ORCA) to implement a robust vendor risk management program, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and mitigating potential risks
  • Proven experience driving initiatives to achieve cost savings and efficiencies through strategic vendor partnerships and innovative solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across the enterprise providing regular reports to leadership on vendor performance, initiatives, and key metrics. Effectively communicate updates and recommendations
