Senior Data Analyst

The Role

In this role, you will engage with partners across business, analytics, and technical teams to enable easier access to improved data analytics, and ability to provide greater insights and decision-making capabilities to support strategic initiatives. You will work closely with a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team, fostering strong collaboration across Fidelity Technology to ensure timely delivery and successful outcomes.

We are looking for candidates with a bachelors degree and 4-6 years of related experience in data analysis, or data engineering, or a masters degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience.

The Expertise and Skills you bring

  • You have expertise in leading data or BI related projects in the areas of requirements gathering, analysis, interpretation and translating them to data solutions.

  • You are skilled at effectively defining use cases and simplifying complex concepts.

  • You are experienced decomposing complex work into digestible work elements within an agile environment. Familiarity with Jira / Jira Align is a plus.

  • You have solid data analysis and data profiling skills with a solid understanding of SQL or Python. You can independently wrangle our datasets to obtain data insights and translate those into valuable business insights using BI visualizations. Familiarity with Alteryx, Power BI and ML approaches, an advantage.

  • You have working experience with enterprise data lakes and Cloud data platforms such as Snowflake.

  • You understand and communicate sophisticated concepts effectively to a variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical. You make the complicated simple.

  • You have experience navigating integrated enterprise data and working across multi-functional teams. You can identify analytics insights and make stakeholder recommendations on the benefits and shortcomings of each insight.

  • You have a passion for continuous learning, mastering new skills, and keeping abreast of the latest innovations across data analytics.

  • You are known as a go-getter, with the ability to unravel a mystery data, business process or organizational.

  • You are an effective communicator with a good ability to cultivate relationships. You have superb communication and presentation skills.

The Team

You will be part of our Portfolio and Program team in Enterprise Data and AI that oversees data and AI portfolios and execution of large, complex cross BU strategic initiatives. We are energized and motivated by performing a role that allows us to contribute daily to making a difference in Fidelitys technology advancement.
