The Role

In the role of an H&W Sales Product Consultant (SPC), you will work closely with H&W Account Executives, Sales Delivery/SOAR, Consulting Relations, Retention Executives, Managing Directors, and key Health partners. As a part of WI Sales, your goal is to win and retain Health and Welfare clients of all sizes.
You will project manage the end-to-end sales processfrom initial capabilities discussions, RFPs, pricing, follow ups and proposal development through final delivery meetings and contract handoff. SPCs develop the strategy to best position Fidelitys products and services, identify plan sponsor needs, and elevate prospect and client conversations.
Success in this role requires deep knowledge of Fidelitys Health offerings, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate across internal business partners and SMEs.
The Expertise And Skills You Bring
Healthcare experience required (H&W, Voluntary Benefits, HSA and RA etc; multi-product experience preferred (DC, DB, NQ etc)
Sales experience is preferred in some capacity
Bachelors degree required; MBA or advanced degree a plus
Minimum 5 years of related product or industry experience; Fidelity experience is preferred
Licensing is NOT required but permitted to obtain in role (Series 7 and 63) with support of selling the HSA product
Travel: approximately 1015%
Proven sales and consultative skills to educate, position, and influence prospects and consultants
Collaborates, influences, and builds positive relationships across sophisticated organizations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including simplifying complex topics for diverse audiences
Strong listening skills to uncover client and internal partner needs
Ownership mentality with accountability for results
Comfort leading multiple priorities with accuracy and speed in a multi-layered environment
Lead and coordinate end-to-end sales and retention efforts, driving efficiency and adopting new technologies
Own the full proposal processneeds assessment, drafting responses, multi-product integration, financial review, and final delivery
Coordinate finals presentations and site visits, including agendas, speaker prep, logistics, and demos
Engage proactively with partners to understand needs and expectations
Apply deep product and market expertise to differentiate Fidelitys value proposition
Influence outcomes while encouraging partnership and consensus
Educate partners on client/prospect dynamics, mentor presenters, and provide actionable feedback
The Team
The WI Sales organization wins and retains clients in the Workplace Investing sector through outstanding solutions, positive relationships, and well-adapted risk management. Our work fuels Fidelitys growth and strengthens our position as a leading benefits outsourcing provider.
The base salary range for this position is $95,000-186,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidates relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
