Position Description:

Delivers valuable insights via data analytics and advanced statistical methodologies to solve complex business problems. Performs gap analysis on present applications and systems to propose and create Product Roadmaps for enterprise applications. Serves as a liaison between business and engineering teams in the development of new tools and the upgrade of existing tools as per market trends and standards. Drives User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business for continuous feedback on built products. Inspects and evaluates product development progress and oversees performance and UAT. Translates business requirements into technical requirements to support the development and enhancement of the business capabilities. Analyzes requirements and proposes innovative implementation approaches. Partners with other leaders to influence broader strategic decisions and roadmaps, defines the resource requirements, and executes specific product features.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Defines goals and creates the vision for critical development projects, anticipates business needs, and innovates new solutions for products.
  • Oversees development activities and assists the team through every step of the product development process, including release planning.
  • Conducts business analysis, impact analysis, and system analysis, as required, and drives innovation through the team.
  • Collaborates with Portfolio Managers, Quantitative Analysts, and Traders to create product road maps with strategic visual summaries.
  • Manages product backlog based on technical strategy and business objectives.
  • Prioritizes work based on the needs and objectives of Portfolio Managers and Traders and contributes to architectural solutions of products in coordination with Architects.
  • Collaborates with other product and technology teams to identify and resolve any internal dependencies and resolves conflicts between the technical and business priorities.
  • Applies Agile practices at the domain and product area levels, and strengthens Agile culture and practices.
  • Delivers training and oversight to ensure knowledge transfer of specialized skills in technical, product management, project management, and user experience areas.
  • Identifies challenges, tests hypothesis, and evaluates solutions, including championing innovative technology solutions and research methodologies.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholder teams to align with the product strategy and multi-year roadmap.
  • Works cross-functionally to understand business priorities and to ensure alignment against work.
  • Improves and supports processes across the delivery squads.
  • Works with design, development, and solution delivery to optimize efficiency and eliminate friction for ongoing project delivery.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and six (6) years of experience as a Director, IT Product Management (or closely related occupation) performing Information Technology (IT) product management in an Asset Management Fixed Income (FI) domain.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and four (4) years of experience as a Director, IT Product Management (or closely related occupation) performing Information Technology (IT) product management in an Asset Management Fixed Income (FI) domain.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (DE) conveying goals and specifications of investment IT projects to teams and stakeholders to adhere to business requirements within specified time constraints.
  • DE guiding Asset Management FI data teams to obtain strategic solutions for data and FI batch cycle enhancements and advance business objectives, using Oracle PL/SQL, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • DE guiding an FI engineering team to obtain strategic solutions for enhancements in building tools for Traders, Quantitative Analysts, and Portfolio Managers used to create advanced business objectives using Oracle PL/SQL, Power BI, and Tableau.
