Your Team's Impact 

The Corporate Transactions Collection team tracks M&A, private placements, and growth transactions for public and private companies. The team provides detailed, timely updates on mergers, divestitures, spinoffs, and deal terms to help clients analyze M&A trends. Information is sourced daily from newswires, financial institutions, company filings, and other reputable sources, with accuracy and timeliness as key priorities.

As a Research Analyst, you will collate, maintain, and update database information from official sources such as feeds, corporate action emails, and press releases, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to FactSet clients. You will be responsible for achieving individual and team targets under the guidance of the Team Lead. Shifts are on rotation based on business needs. You will work based on company's onsite requirements and may be required to be onsite full-time during training.

What You'll Do 

  • Ensure smooth day to day execution and delivery of your individual goals on your market and other assigned tasks
  • Achieve quality, timeliness, and productivity metrics
  • Attend all training requirements for process, methodology, workflows, and systems
  • Keep track of all communications on updates and new processes and procedures
  • Acquire a good understanding of FactSet content, particularly in Private entities content collection and workflow
  • Adhere to systems procedures, document analysis measures and database maintenance protocols
  • Comply with knowledge alignment activities by participating in Process Knowledge Test
  • Exercise ownership and accountability of all assigned tasks
  • Adapt to ad hoc business requirements
  • Attendance to and participation in meetings
  • Attendance to skills enhancement courses

  • Graduate in Commerce / Business Management / Finance / Accounting / Economics or equivalent
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, confident thinker proficient in multi-tasking
  • Intermediate analytical and numerical skills
  • A proactive, confident thinker proficient in multi-tasking
  • Highly self-motivated who can work independently as well as in a group setting.
  • Enthusiasm, a strong sense of initiative, able to prioritize, with an eye for detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Completion of internal department training program/s
  • Willing to work on shifts
  • Willing to be assigned to other projects

Desired Skills

  • Fundamental understanding of the M&A and/or private equity/venture capital space and the activities therein, with a solid understanding of financial and investment management concepts
