Job description

What is the position? Evercore is seeking a Senior Associate/Vice President hire in Quant Trading Technology.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and refine algorithmic trading strategies and execution frameworks
Analyze market data and trading performance to optimize execution quality and reduce transaction costs
Design and implement smart order routing systems and performance measurement tools
Improve algo wheel performance through optimization of client order placement
Conduct data analysis, modeling, and back-testing to support trading decisions
Collaborate with trading, technology, and analytics teams to enhance execution strategies
Leverage advanced analytics tools (including LLMs where applicable) to drive innovation in trading processes

Specific Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
Strong programming experience in Python; familiarity with Java, C++, MATLAB, or other statistical tools is a plus
Experience with data analysis, modeling, and back-testing frameworks
Strong understanding of electronic trading and equity market microstructure

Knowledge of exchange order types, ATSs, SDPs, and private rooms

Expected Base Salary Range: $145,000 - $170,000
