Role name and description -Senior Executive- Mobility

 

As part of the CBTS GDS team, you will be responsible for Visa and Immigration, assignment management both for Inbound and outbound moves to and from India.

 

 

The opportunity

 

Being part of CBTS GDS provides you with the opportunity to manage end to end operations at the same time it also helps you in enhancing your learning in the field of mobility and immigration

 

 

Your key responsibilities

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Mobility Compliance Management

  • Work closely with business in understanding their expectations finalizing the assignment requests and help choose right resource under right category of visa
  • Having frequent connects with the Business POCs in understanding upcoming opportunities and providing them with the updates related to cases and on-going matters
  • Coordination with the Global Mobility /immigration team of the host countries and handling mobility related activities
  • Counselling of transferring and repatriating employees on all aspects of their expatriate benefits, entitlements and ensuring the employees abide by the policy terms and conditions
  • Initiate tax and immigration teams for planning and review
  • Review allowances for mobility payroll for all levels of employees and liaising with mobility Operations Team, and Compensation & Benefits team
  • Day to day case management of expatriate population including dealing with ad hoc queries, advising on tax and immigration issues, and coordinating with vendors
  • Should possess brief knowledge on personal taxes, social security, minimum wage & permanent establishment related compliances
  • Ensure adherence to global mobility policies, tax regulations, and labor laws in host and home countries.
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to manage risks associated with international assignments.
  • Track and report on assignment durations, visa expiries, and travel patterns to ensure compliance with immigration and tax laws.
  • Support audits and internal reviews related to global mobility and immigration.
  • Prepare/ review cost estimates and Secondment authorizations forms
  • Work with the Host and Home country Partners for approvals of Cost estimate and signing Secondment Authorization forms for Inbound moves

 

Immigration Compliance

  • Advise employees and stakeholders on immigration requirements, visa processes, and documentation for various countries.
  • Review and Validation of key documents required for submission of the Visa application.
  • Liaise with external immigration consultants and legal advisors to ensure timely and accurate processing of work permits, visas, and residence applications.
  • Monitor changes in immigration laws and regulations across key geographies and update internal stakeholders accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records of immigration cases and ensure compliance with internal policies and external legal requirements.

 

Mobility Operations

  • Coordinate end-to-end travel arrangements for international assignments, including flights, accommodation, ground transport, and travel insurance.
  • Collaborate with travel vendors and internal teams to optimize travel costs and ensure policy adherence.
  • Support employees with relocation logistics, including shipment of personal belongings, temporary housing, and settling-in services.
  • Provide pre-departure and post-arrival support to assignees to ensure a smooth transition.

  • Knowledge of US Markets J1/ L1 / B1/B2/ H1 Visa
  • Knowledge of drafting and reviewing petitions for L1/ H1 visa
  • End to End Work permit process for EMEA (specific to UK & I), Germany, Nordic& Netherlands, APAC & MENA.

 

 

Ideally, youll also have

 

  • Knowledge on conducting L1 mock interviews
  • Knowledge on MIS
  • Knowledge on Host and Home country Tax compliance
  • responsible for developing and coaching team members
